Word Count with Mama Zen

Mama Zen at RT challenged us  to write about our world in 35 words or less.  Sometimes poets go long, so this is a challenge...

Sideways view of fractured light
lies in nature's twisted dance
reveal the beauty in the dust, the dirt
and broken dreams
fresh hope
like spring rain
washes the memories
refocus
begin again

  1. THIS is VERY beautiful - it is amazing what one can do with 35 words.......it takes me 35 just to describe scratching my head in befuddlement. Wait! That's only twelve! hee hee. Beautiful poem, Ella.....I love the broken dreams turning into fresh hope and beginning again. Which we all do every single morning......

  3. That picture of the poppy in the rain is one of the loveliest things I've ever seen! Your words are equally gorgeous - well-measured, vibrant and speaking of the vicissitudes with which so many may be familiar.
